Geology is the science of investigating changes of the earth over time, such as climate change and land formation.  A geologist studies earth processes including earthquakes, landslides, floods, and volcanic eruptions.  They gather information to understand the earth’s materials, processes and history.  By studying the distribution of resources, a geologist can provide recommendations for the sustainable use of earth’s materials.
